Education Canada Group (ECG), formerly known as Education Consolidation Corporation (ECC), was established in January 2011 by Maxim Partners of Chicago, USA to acquire and expand private post-secondary colleges in Canada. In 2011, Maxim made its first acquisition when it acquired Robertson College Inc. (RCI). Shortly after in 2012, Maxim acquired Westervelt College, the oldest college in Canada and based in London, Ontario.
Robertson College was established in 1911 to offer career-focused training. Today, the college offers programs in Business, Health Care and IT at its campuses in Winnipeg and Brandon, Manitoba as well as in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. The online division offers programs to students across the country that are completed 100% online.
